When you press parry you have a few "parry frames" … WebIt's basically a free block and you can even harden mid swing, tank the hit then release and still get your attack in. For Grisha she only has a like 4 attacks so learn the tells and dodge forward when she does the super lunge. But really for this fight you can get by just with harden if needed. Also helps to learn the parry timing.

I made this mod to give players who struggle to get into Souls a more accessible experience without destroying the balance of the game. WebIt's strange. I was able to absolutely master parrying in Dark Souls 1 (started with Vegeta's videos). The timing was strict, but consistent. I used it against everything. Dark Souls 2 parrying though, I just can't get the proper timing for it. It feels very inconsistent. And a miss has WAY more recovery time too. It's ok.
